Marin County hosts a series of Mathletes competitions every year.  Sixteen public and private schools routinely participate.  The competitions are held on Tuesday afternoons, four times per year, beginning in November.  Each school brings a team of six 7th graders and six 8th graders.  Sixth graders may also participate if there is room on either team.  The meets are held in Novato, at San Jose Middle School.

The purpose of this competition is to provide an opportunity for students who enjoy problem solving  to HAVE FUN and to challenge themselves in a supportive environment.

We generally have practice once a week during lunch, beginning about a month into the school year.  The last competition is in March.

If interested, please see Mrs. Shakeshaft in Room 75.  All are welcome!
