Districtwide Safety Measure UpdateIn the wake of the Sandy Hook Tragedy, San Rafael City Schools has taken steps to review and revise safety procedures which are already in place. You can read the superintendent's message here en aqui . Safe Routes to Schools Survey informationFor the past two years, Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S) has surveyed families at San Rafael City Schools about how students get to school. The results of the latest survey along with last year's survey is at this link: http://saferoutestoschools.org/sanrafael.html#surveys We would like to boost Davidson's amount of green trips (walking, biking, bus and carpool) and reduce single family car trips by this spring. A reasonable goal would be anything from 1% to 5% change. Participation in Safe Routes to Schools activities such as the spring contest and regular Walk and Roll to School Day will help to boost our numbers. We also encourage those people who already take green trips at least once a week to add just one more day! DMS Makes Biggest Test Score Increase of All Public Middle Schools in Marin CountyCongratulations to the DMS Community for posting the biggest gains of all public middle schools in Marin County. In addition, we far exceeded our internal goals for growth in multiple subgroup areas. Great job Davidson!
